Solid tool with minor quirks

Banani's AI design assistant is a powerful feature, especially for generating initial wireframes quickly. I used it for a mobile app UI and was impressed by the speed. The responsive design tool also works well. My only minor gripe is that sometimes the text prompts need very specific phrasing to get exactly what you want, which takes a bit of trial and error. Overall, a good experience and definitely provides value, but a slightly more intuitive prompt system would make it perfect. Delivery was instant, obviously, being a software.

Easy to use, quick designs

So I tried Banani for a quick landing page idea. Just typed in what I wanted, and it gave me a decent layout super fast. Exporting to Figma worked like a charm. It's really cool for getting ideas down without a lot of fuss. Definitely made my life easier for that project.

Quick UI generation

Needed a quick landing page. Banani generated it from text. Exported to Figma easily. Good tool for fast drafts.

Reliable for quick mockups

This was my third time using Banani, mostly for wireframe generation. It's consistent; I know what to expect. The prompt-based UI editor is still as responsive as my first go-around, and the export to Figma feature has always been flawless. It reliably saves me time on early-stage concepts, which is why I keep coming back.

Good value for annual plan

I was looking for a UI design tool and Banani came up. The free tier was a good way to test it out. I ended up getting the annual subscription because it offered 20% off compared to monthly. That made the 'AI UI design copilot' really affordable for what it does. Felt worth the money.

Can I export the designs to Figma? That's a must-have for my workflow.

N Nick 1 month ago
Yes, you can. It's one of their main features. Super easy to just push it over to Figma to refine it.

D Dan 1 month ago
Definitely. The Figma export works great, it saves a ton of time recreating things manually.

anyone know if banani has a free tier? just wanna mess around with it before committing to anything.

J Julia Reyes 1 month ago
Yep, they do. I started on the free tier, it's pretty good for basic stuff but you'll hit limits on generations pretty quick if you're really digging in.

Free version is there. It's enough to get a feel for it and see how the text-to-UI works. Just don't expect unlimited exports or anything.

Thinking of getting the annual subscription. Is there usually a discount for paying yearly or should I just stick with monthly?

N Nick 1 month ago
Typically, annual billing gets you like 20% off compared to monthly. That's what I saw when I signed up last year.

Yeah, pretty sure they always have a discount for annual plans. It's a standard SaaS thing to encourage longer commitments.

I'm a student, any chance of a discount for Banani? Money's tight.

G Greg 1 month ago
I think they do offer a student discount. I remember seeing something about it when I was looking through their site. Might be worth checking their FAQs or contacting support.

Yeah, pretty sure they have one. Look for it in the pricing section or sometimes you need to verify your student status.

What if I sign up and then want to cancel? Is it a pain or pretty straightforward?

E Emma 1 month ago
It was pretty easy for me. Just went into the account settings and clicked cancel. No weird hoops to jump through.

Yeah, I canceled my trial after a week and it was painless. Didn't even have to talk to anyone.

Are there any limitations on the free tier? like, can I generate unlimited designs or is there a cap?

L Lisa A. 1 month ago
There's definitely a cap on generations and usually on exports too. It's not unlimited, but it's enough to test out the core features.

S Sarah 1 month ago
You'll hit limits. Free tier is mostly for trying it out. Don't expect to run a whole project on it without upgrading.

Hey, wondering if Banani AI is actually good for professional work or just for quick mockups? Like, can I really use it for client stuff?

P Paula 1 month ago
Yeah, I've used it for a few smaller client projects. The export to Figma is super handy, and the component library helps keep things consistent. It's not a full replacement for a human designer, but it definitely speeds things up.

It's decent. I wouldn't say it's 100% perfect every time, but for getting ideas down fast or iterating on layouts, it's pretty powerful. You'll still need to polish in Figma, but it gives you a solid head start.

How does Banani compare to Galileo AI? I'm trying to decide between the two for a new project.

R Renee 1 month ago
I've tried both. Banani feels a bit more structured for me, especially with the export options to React. Galileo can be cool for more experimental stuff but Banani gives me better starting points for actual dev.

D Dana C. 1 month ago
Honestly, it depends on what you need. Banani's component library feels more robust for consistent design systems. Galileo is cool but sometimes the outputs are a bit wild. Banani might be better if you need more polished, ready-to-use designs.
